Go retro for York's 1940s swing dance party

Pull out your Air Force blue and A-line skirts. Get ready for a 1940s-themed evening of swing dancing and history.

The York Heritage Trust is hosting Swing at the Market Street Canteen, a World War II dance hall-themed party from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 21.

Get a mini dance lesson from the York Swing Dance Club and enjoy music by Unforgettable, a 16-piece big band from York.

Admission is $20 for Trust members and $25 for non-members and includes appetizers, beer and wine. Signature cocktails will be available for a donation. Dressing in 1940s attire is encouraged, but not required.
