FlipSidePA weekend picks for Jan. 14

Each week, some York County locals share what they are doing this weekend. Some favor art, theater, craft beer, wine or music. Some simply like finding something different to do each week. Whatever your interest, see what they're up to this weekend in January - it might help you plan your Friday or Saturday night.

Kelley Gibson, busy mom: The kids and I will be throwing clay in our pottery class at York Town Craft Guild on Saturday morning, then heading to the FestivIce ice festival downtown for lunch and weather defying fun!

Mike and Sue Edmonds, couple who loves to travel: We've started walking the trails of York's eleven county parks. Two weeks ago he hiked several miles at Rocky Ridge (the county's first park) and met some really nice people along the way. This weekend, we plan to explore John Rudy County Park.

Dawn States, works in York/lives in Lancaster: This Saturday, Jan. 16, I am going to a benefit concert at the Seed. Sunday, I am going to another benefit concert for raising support and awareness about refugees, which will be held at Tellus 360.

Meg Feeser, spends most days downtown: Sunday, I'm taking an aerial yoga workshop at Imagine Your Yoga, the new yoga studio on Beaver St.

Mary Yeaple, loves all-things Irish: Friday night, I'll be at the Strand for the Band of the Royal Marines, featuring the Pipes & Drums of the Scots Guard. Yay for bagpipes!!

Lyn Bergdoll, theater lady: Looking forward to sharing a fabulous meal with friends at the Roosevelt Tavern in York. The “farm to table” food is incredibly fresh and prepared with tremendous expertise.
