Riverdance brings 20th anniversary tour to York

A month after St. Patrick’s Day, the international Irish music and dance show Riverdance is headed to York.

The show will celebrate its 20th anniversary April 19, 20 and 21 at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center, 50 N. George St., according to a news release.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m.

Riverdance has been touring non-stop throughout North America since March of 1996 when it performed eight sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York, the release said.

But for the show’s 20th anniversary tour, audiences should expect new costumes, lighting, projections and a new a cappella hard-shoe number called “Anna Livia.”

Tickets cost $38, $52 and $75.
