Happy spring!

Here are six things to do in York County this weekend to celebrate the start of a new season.

Watch the YorVoice competition

Discover York's next great singing talent at the Cultural Alliance of York County's YorVoice singing competition at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The competition, held at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center, will feature 10 local acts, including local bands, a cappella groups high school performers and more. If you go, say hi to FlipSidePA editor Ashley May. She'll be on the judges panel.

Hunt Easter eggs

Easter is still a week away, but many area egg hunts are happening this weekend. Click on the link below to find one in your area.

Try a new restaurant

Whether you're looking for brunch or dinner, a family-friendly restaurant or a bar, FlipSidePA is here to help you with your dinner plans. We recently launched our On the Menu Directory, which lets you search York County restaurants by price, alcohol preference and type. Check it out this weekend, and maybe you'll find your new favorite restaurant.

See a Michael Jackson tribute

Watch two performers portray Michael Jackson at different stages in his career at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center Saturday. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Expect to see some unique dancing and hear Jackson's greatest hits.

Get your free Rita's Italian Ice

Sunday is the first day of spring, which means free Italian ice for customers. All York stores, including locations on Loucks Road, Queen Street and Market Street, will be participating. Fun fact: Rita's expects to give away more than 500,000 pounds of free ice on Sunday.

Go to the Celtic Classic Dog Show

You can see thousands of dogs and more than 150 breeds at the Celtic Classic Dog Show this weekend. Dogs will be groomed, shown and judged through Sunday at the York Expo Center. Click below to see some adorable photos of the dogs.
