4 things to do in York Easter weekend

Happy Easter!

Here are a few ways to spend the holiday weekend in York.

Take the kids to an egg hunt

It's not Easter without an egg hunt. Kids can meet the Easter Bunny and listen to stories during the Eggspecially Fun Bunny Run at Steam into History in New Freedom or paint eggs and participate in other children's activities at New Grounds Roasting Company. Click the link below for a complete list of area egg hunts and Easter events.

The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance at Central Market in downtown York from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Beer and chocolate

If you scored tickets to downtown York's Sweetest Pint Beer & Chocolate Tasting Tour, consider yourself lucky. Tickets to the event are now sold out. But for those who couldn't nab tickets in time, you can still try some of the pairings at home. Click the link below for a list of beers that pair well with chocolate treats.

Make a spring cocktail

Not a beer person? Celebrate this Easter weekend with a spring cocktail in hand. Click the link below for a few recipes (including Pineapple Cherry Blossom, Spring Sangria and Honeydew Bliss) that Yorkers love.

See a silent movie

Spend Saturday evening at the Capitol Theatre in downtown York. A silent movie is playing at 7 p.m. accompanied by the Wurlitzer organ. Snacks, drinks, beer and wine will be available. Tickets are $7 per person.
