FlipSide Panel picks for things to do this weekend, May 5-8

Each week, some York County locals share what they are doing this weekend. Some favor art, theater, craft beer, wine or music. Some simply like finding something different to do each week. Whatever your interest, see what they're up to this weekend in May - it might help you plan your Friday or Saturday night. Want to join the panel? Email FlipSidePA Editor Ashley May at amay@ydr.com.

Satoko Berg, crafty lady: I am planning on going to the Heirloom Plant Sale at the Horn Farm Center. I am mostly going for herbs and flowers, but we might pick up some veggies, too! 'Tis the season!

Kelley Gibson, artsy mom: This Friday the girls and I will be perusing and purchasing artwork at the We Make York exhibit at I-ron-ic with proceeds benefiting York City schools. Sunday we’ll take the family to the Olde York Street Fair -- a Mother’s Day tradition!

Todd Fogdall, amateur photographer: Saturday will be fun of the feline variety at the CFA Allbreed Cat Show at the York Expo Center.  The show runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature more than 40 cat breeds.

Lyn Bergdoll, theater lady: York College is presenting the students’ Fine Art Senior Exhibition through May 7. It's being held in the DeMeester Recital Hall on campus.  I’m looking forward to seeing their work.
