Street Rod Nationals returns to York in June
Thousands of street rods, muscle cars, custom cars, trucks and specialty vehicles – all manufactured at least 30 years ago – will ride into York this summer for the 43rd annual Street Rod Nationals East.
The event – billed as the region’s largest custom car show – is expected to bring more than 3,500 vehicles to the York Fairgrounds from June 3-5, according to a news release.
Though they were all manufactured at least 30 years ago, many of the cars have modern features like four-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, cruise control and tilt steering, and are valued at as much as $100,000, the release said. They’ll be on display for viewing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
Other attractions include free seminars, a variety of street rod contests, more than 125 auto equipment manufacturers and dealers, arts and craft vendors, live music, prize giveaways, a quilt display, food and more.
The Pinstripe Jamboree & Charity Auction will also return this year with pin-striping, airbrushing and hand-lettering artists from across the country who will auction off their works for Make A Wish Foundation.
Admission is $15 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-12 and free for children age 5 and under. A $2 discount will be available for senior citizens, military personnel and NSRA members.
