Discover York's spooky past on downtown history tour

It’s only the middle of August, but York already has Halloween on the brain.

As of Monday morning, tickets are now on sale for Downtown Inc.’s annual series of Spooky York Dark Downtown History Tours.

The 90-minute walking tour starts in York’s Continental Square and includes six other stops around town, according to organizer Meagan Feeser.

Participants will explore one of the country’s most famous murder trial of the 20th century at the York County Court House, meet the friendly ghost who haunts the eighth floor of the Yorktowne Hotel, learn about York’s connection to the Underground Railroad at the William Goodridge House and more, she said.

This year, locals can sign up for one of four different dates:

All tours begin at 6 p.m.

The tour typically sells out, so get your tickets while you can at www.downtownyorkpa.com/spookyyork.

Tickets are $20.
