Watch the York Bike Night parade

Not a biker? That’s ok. You don’t have to love motorcycles to love Bike Night. It’s essentially a giant block party with live music, food and fun that kicks off with a motorcycle parade through Continental Square Friday at 6 p.m. And who doesn’t love a parade? The event will also include family-friendly entertainment, like a visual comedian, caricature artist, stilt walker and balloon twister through 10 p.m.

See ‘School of Rock: The Musical'

You can see a Tony-nominated Broadway musical right here in York when “School of Rock” opens at The Belmont Theatre this weekend. You’ll probably recognize the plot and the music from the 2003 movie of the same name, starring Jack Black.  But instead of Black, the musical will feature a cast of 35 local students, some of whom will be playing electric guitar, drums, bass and keyboard live on stage during the show.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.

Go to a fall festival

Paint a pumpkin, take a wagon ride or go on an apple-picking adventure Saturday at Flinchbaugh’s Orchard & Farm Market’s Fall Fun Fest in Hellam. A straw bale jungle gym, trike bikes, games and other children’s activities will also be available from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

And don’t forget to check out the corn maze. The 5-acre maze, themed “Just Ride It,” is the perfect size for a quick 30-60 minute adventure.

The show is slated for 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center.
