It's beginning to feel a lot like fall, and York has plenty of fun ways to celebrate the new season.

From an Oktoberfest celebration to an outdoor dinner party featuring locally sourced seasonal foods, here are five fun events you won't want to miss this weekend.

Wine and Wishes

Sample local wines, enjoy hors d’euvres, bid on auction items and try your luck at the Mystery Wine Sale on Thursday at York’s first-ever Wine & Wishes event. The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Crystal Ballroom at Wyndham Garden York.

Admission is $50 for pre-registered guests and $60 at the door. Proceeds support Make-A-Wish.

Fifth Friday

Looking for an excuse to come downtown? This is it.

From 5-10 p.m. Friday, five participating restaurants will offer $5 bar snacks and drinks, like the house punch and pigs head bruschetta with apple mostarda at Tutoni’s. Additional specials will be announced soon.

Check out the Fifth Friday Facebook event for more info.

York Flea

Get a jump start on holiday shopping Saturday at the final York Flea of the year. The downtown flea market will take place outside on West Clarke Avenue from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You’ll find everything from knitwear and vintage clothing to jewelry and home décor, plus live music from a York College band.

Visit www.yorkflea.com for details.

**A similar craft fair event, the 28th annual Bridge Bust, will also take place on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Veterans Memorial Bridge between Columbia and Wrightsville. The rain date is Oct. 15. Visit parivertowns.com for details.

Glen Rocktoberfest

Oktoberfest season continues the first day of October at Glen Rock’s Ruins Park. It’ll be a day of good food, great beer and a jam-packed lineup of music from 1 to 5 p.m. What more could you want?

General admission is $10, and VIP tickets are $15.

Farm to City Street Dinner

No need to cook dinner for the family on Sunday. York’s Farm to City Street Dinner will fill you up with a delicious locally sourced fall meal served with local beer, cider and wine. But the coolest part is the dinner will be served family-style with about 200 other members of the community in the center of one of York’s busiest streets – North Beaver Street.

It’s a great way to meet your neighbors and celebrate the fall season as a community. A silent auction and live music will also be provided.

The dinner starts at 2:30 p.m. Click here for tickets and more info.
