See Beatlemania Now in York this fall

It’s not quite Paul McCartney at Hersheypark Stadium, but it’s darn close to seeing the real thing — Beatlemania Now will hit the Strand-Capitol stage with hours of groovy hits from The Beatles on Saturday, Nov. 5.

DID YOU KNOW: Why the York Fair turned down The Beatles in 1962

Graham Alexander has been leading the acclaimed tribute band on left handed bass guitar, vocals and piano as Paul McCartney, and will be joined by Scot Arch on guitar, keyboards and vocals as John Lennon.

Alexander and Arch have been to recreate the likenesses of John Lennon and Paul McCartney for The Beatles Rock Band video game in 2009, according to a release.

The current lineup of Beatlemania Now also includes Eric Smith on drums, percussion and vocals as Ringo Starr and Chris Colon on lead guitar and vocals as George Harrison, as well as Zach Harski on keyboards, guitars, handclaps and flute, or "plays the stuff we other four don't have enough hands to play!," according to a representative from the band.

Flashback to yesteryear with hits from “Let It Be,” “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” “A Hard Day’s Night” and more.

Tickets start at $35 and are available at strandcapitol.org, or by calling 717-846-1111. You can also visit the Strand-Capitol box office at 50 N. George St., York from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
