Underground music in 2015 requires you to find it, rather than finding artists through the radio or Pandora.

Read about the underground music scene in the region, and here are some of the places where you can find house concerts and small venues in the region:

Sign of the Wagon: www.signofthewagon.com, 154 E. Philadelphia St., York. House concerts. Blues, folk, bluegrass, R&B, hip hop.

Skid Row Garage: Search Facebook for its page, 565 W. Clarke Ave., York. DIY venue. Punk, hardcore, metal, and pop punk.

Kable House Presents: www.kablehousepresents.com, Central Market House, 34 W. Philadelphia St., York. Volunteer-driven venue, open from September or October through June, one concert per month.

The Wagon Shed Concert Series: www.wagonshedconcerts.com, 109 N. 2nd St., New Freedom. A renovated wagon shed with concerts on the second floor, volunteer-run.

Chestnut House Concerts: www.chestnuthouseconcerts.com, 603 W. Chestnut St., Lancaster. House concerts. Reggae, classical, bluegrass, folk, Celtic, Americana.

Burning Bridge Tavern: www.bbtpa.com, 108 Hellam St., Wrightsville. Local musicians.

Hans Herr House Music in the Orchard: www.hansherr.org, 1849 Hans Herr Dr., Willow Street. Museum with varied music outside throughout the summer.

The Candy Factory: www.candyissweet.com, 342 N. Queen St. Rear. Co-working space with occasional concerts.

The Stage on Herr: www.harrisburgarts.com, 1110 N. Third St., Harrisburg. A 200-capacity venue/art gallery at the historic Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center.

The Thought Lot: www.thethoughtlot.com, 37 E. Garfield St., Shippensburg. A community art co-op space with about 60 concerts of varied genres throughout the year.
