Music Man, Jr., painting and music: What to do in Chambersburg this weekend

Music Man, Jr.

Based on the timeless Broadway classic, The Music Man, Jr. adapts this masterful musical for young performers. The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize. The catch? He doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. The musical will be performed Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre. Tickets can be purchased at the door by cash or check.
