5 things to do in Lebanon this weekend


It's at that point in the year where businesses and venues are preparing for the fall and winter events. Don't worry, though, as there are still plenty of things to do as August winds down and the kids go back to school.

Historic schoolhouse: The historic Lindley Murray one-room schoolhouse is open to the public Friday though Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. this weekend and the last weekend in August. More details here

Civil War:This is the first day of the weekend encampment and Civil War reenactment battles of the Civil War to be held at Union Canal Tunnel Park, behind the Lebanon Valley Mall. More details here

Music:Come on out to the Quentin Tavern for a night of music on Sunday with "Shea and Swish," two members of the "Luv Gods," as they perform acoustic songs and ballads. More details here

Music in the Park:The Millcreek Community Group presents "Music in the Park" at Memorial Park in Newmanstown. Chub Doster and Hard Times will be the featured entertainment on Sunday. More details here
