Watoto Children's Choir to perform April 16 in Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG >> The Watoto Children's Choir, an African orphan children's choir, on April 16 will perform a concert in The Brethren Fellowship, 339 Lincoln Way East.

The free concert, "Oh What Love," will begin at 7 p.m.

The choir will be a northeast U.S. tour April 9 in Washington, D.C., and will tour for three months before leaving for a three-month tour through Brazil. Since 1994, Watoto Children's Chois have traveled around the world sharing the plight of Africa's orphaned children.

Each child in the choir has suffered the loss of one or both parents but they have been rescued and now live in a Watoto village. Watoto is a holistic child-care solution initiated to serve the needs of African people.
