5 things to do in Lebanon this weekend


Back to school, back to school. Don't worry, the weekend is still open, though. Take the kids out for the weekend with numerous events going on around Lebanon County.

Summer picnic: " A "Summer Picnic and Charity Drive," hosted by the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce, will be held at Ironwood Community Park, 14th Avenue, Lebanon, on Friday. More details here

Tribute concert: A Frank Sinatra Tribute concert will be performed by Michael Minor on Friday in Unity Church, 37 East Main St., Palmyra. More details here

Blue Grass Festival:A Blue Grass Festival featuring "The Goose Creek Boys" will be held in the Wenger Meetinghouse, 16 Supervisor's Road in Jonestown on Saturday. Food, activities and vendors will be on the premises, and the event continues until 7 p.m. More details here

Concert: If you like classic rock, come on out to Legends Cafe on Saturday night, South Ninth Street, for the awesome songs of Gary Messersmith and Ken Putt. The guys will be playing until 9 p.m. More details here

Music in the Park:Newmanstown's own "Music in the Park" will present "Rob and Marty" in Memorial Park, along Memorial Boulevard. Refreshments will be for sale starting at 5 p.m. Bring a lawn chair. A free-will offering will be taken on Sunday. More details here
