The Glen Rocktoberfest, a first of its kind music, food, brews and now Halloween outdoors festival for Glen Rock, didn't let Hurricane Joaquin stand in its way.

Yes, the event had to be rescheduled from Oct. 3 to Oct. 31. So while that means festival-goers might have to wear an extra layer or two, it also means there will be a Halloween costume contest.

Here's a look at what will be going down:

Tickets

Tickets are available for purchase online. Steyer expects there to be tickets available the day of the event, as well.

VIP tickets are $35 and include early admission, a wristband for beer and wine, tickets for five full beers or 10 samples, a souvenir beer mug and bottled water.

General admission tickets are $10 and include a souvenir mug and a full beer. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the York County Suicide Prevention Program through Southern Community Services in Shrewsbury.

Beer and wine

Some of the beer vendors participating include Lancaster Brewing, Spring House Brewing Co., Yuengling, Goose Island Beer Co., Yards Brewing Co. and Flying Fish Brewing Co. Breweries will feature mostly seasonal beer (think Oktoberfest and pumpkin).

Spring House Brewing Co., of Lancaster, said it's planning to pour "Braaaiins!" beer, its popular pumpkin ale.

Allegro Winery, of Brogue, will be serving its 2013 Merlot, 2014 Steel Chardonnay and one of its sweet wines, Harmony, made with concord grapes.

Eats

Steyer said Glen Rock Mill will be serving a variety of fall favorites. That includes pretzels, frankfurters and bratwurst with sauerkraut. Pulled pork, spaetzle (little pasta dumplings), and apple strudle bites are also on the menu for Rocktoberfest.

All-day music, most local

There will be plenty of music including five acts made up of mostly local bands, hence the name Rocktoberfest.

Vinyl Souls: A four-person band from York bills itself as a psychedelic rockabilly blues. noon to 1 p.m.

Josh Dominick: A singer and songwriter hailing from Harrisburg, Dominick's style is soulful Americana. 1 to 2 p.m.

3 Dollar Suit: An alternative folk band that fancies itself as the hometown Glen Rock band. Most of its members have Glen Rock addresses and the band is grateful to be part of what it calls a recent upswing in the arts. 3 Dollar Suit will be playing from 2 to 3 p.m.

"It's fun for us to at least think we're playing a small role in a resurgence for Glen Rock," said guitarist and vocalist Scott Howard.

Brian Kendig: A singer and songwriter from Maryland. Kendig has written and performed music for the last 38 years, according to his website. Recently, he's been doing mostly solo work. 3 to 4 p.m.

Jump the Gun: A rock band from central Pennsylvania. Jump the Gun plays original rock music and deep tracks. 4 to 6 p.m.
