Weird Al continues 'Mandatory' tour in Hershey

Weird Al Yankovic is bringing his Mandatory World Tour to central Pennsylvania … again.

The singer-songwriter – known for such parodies as “Eat It,” “Like A Surgeon” and “Amish Paradise” – will perform at Hershey Theatre, 15 E. Caracas Ave., Hershey, on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

The show is slated for 8 p.m.

Yankovic began his Mandatory World Tour, which follows his Grammy-winning album “Mandatory Fun,” in 2015. The tour took him to more than 100 cities in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia, including two local shows at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster June 8 and Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore June 13.

Now, Yankovic has decided to continue his tour at an additional 76 cities, beginning June 3, according to a news release.

“I’ve decided to do the Mandatory World Tour for one more year after learning that some people didn’t make it out to the show this last time around,” Yankovic said in the release. “Apparently, they don’t know the meaning of the word ‘mandatory’!”

Tickets are $42.35, $47.85 and $62.35 and go on sale at noon Friday, Feb. 26.

Purchase tickets at the Hershey Theatre Box Office, by phone at 717-534-3405 or 800-745-3000 or online at www.HersheyEntertainment.com or www.TicketMaster.com.
