Robin Williams died exactly one year ago
One year ago today, Robin Williams, 63, a brilliant shape-shifter who could channel his frenetic energy into delightful comic characters like "Mrs. Doubtfire" or harness it into richly nuanced work like his Oscar-winning turn in "Good Will Hunting," died in Tiburon, California.
The coroner ruled his death a suicide that resulted from asphyxia caused by hanging. The actor's wife has said he struggled with depression, anxiety and a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease.
