Chris Rock returns to host Oscars
Chris Rock is returning to host the Oscars, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced officially on Wednesday.
Rock himself Tweeted the news on Wednesday morning as well, saying simply, "Look who is back. #Oscars."

Rock previously hosted the 77th Oscars telecast in 2005.
"Chris Rock is truly the MVP of the entertainment industry," producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin said in a statement. "Comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, documentarian - he's done it all. He's going to be a phenomenal Oscar host!"
Hudlin and Rock worked together on the TV series Everybody Hates Chris.
Rock added in the academy statement, "It's great to be back."
Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs said that Rock's comedic voice has "defined a generation. He is certain to bring his amazing array of talents to this year's show."
The 88th Academy Awards will be broadcast Sunday, February 28, 2016.
