Encore results: Award-winning theater performances
York County theater students stepped on stage at Central York High School April 24 for Encore, the area's high schools musical theater showcase. Some sang, some danced and some worked behind the scenes to make their school's production come to life. Here are the schools and students that received awards and scholarships that evening.
Performance awards
Most creative or original performance: Susquehannock High School for "Pippin"
Best production number: Kennard-Dale High School for "Mary Poppins"
Best small ensemble performance: Spring Grove Area High School for "Seussical"
Best dance performance: Central York High School for "The Little Mermaid"
Judges' award for excellence: William Penn High School for "In The Heights"
Best overall performance: Hanover High School for "Jekyll and Hyde"
