Time's up! The full 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' trailer is here

The countdown is over, and the trailer is here.

Disney teased us for days with 30-second clips from the upcoming Alice Through the Looking Glass, and now the rabbit chase is over. The full trailer for the sequel to 2010's Alice in Wonderland is here, and it looks ... pretty good.

We may have been lukewarm to the original movie, with its bombastic special effects and Johnny Depp kabuki-mask acting, but the sequel promises all of that with a hint of actual fun (the last movie was so self-serious), and a villain in the form of Sacha Baron Cohen.

In Alice Through the Looking Glass, Alice (Mia Wasikowska) finds herself back in Wonderland and traipsing throughout time to save the Mad Hatter (Depp), all the while battling against the physical embodiment of Time (played by Cohen).

The original cast, which included Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman, all return for the sequel -- which looks way trippier and more fun than the first one.

Alice Through the Looking Glass is set to hit theaters May 27, 2016.
