All hail the first 'Wonder Woman' footage

Now that's the hero we've been looking for.

During the DC cinematic universe extravaganza on the CW Tuesday night (during which we all were gifted that Suicide Squad trailer we are mildly obsessed with) we got our first peak at the Wonder Woman movie and it is everything we wanted to see (well, minus some actual dialogue, but hey, we have a year and a half until the movie).

We are here for this whole thing, including the fighting footage, the period costumes, Chris Pine, Themyscira and the reminder that Wonder Woman is basically the best fighter in the DC universe and she will be teaching Bat and Supes some lessons in Batman v Superman.

(Sidenote: It would have been super awesome if Gadot and Jenkins could have spoken a little more in this whole thing, and that a bunch of dudes weren't the ones to tell us how important of a feminist icon Wonder Woman is -- BUT WHATEVER we will get over it as long as this movie is amazing.)

Wonder Woman is set to hit theaters June 23, 2017.
