Proving once again she's our favorite down-to-earth beauty, Chrissy Teigen spoke openly about undergoing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment during her Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoot.

"It was hard because you bloat from it, and you bruise — if I hit the wrong area. That’s the kind of things we had to cover with makeup,” Teigen told People.

The model and John Legend arm candy hinted that she was undergoing the process during a big Bruce Weber shoot on a particularly emotional episode of FABLife with Tyra Banks several months ago. The shoot, she said, was crashed my a member of the paparazzi and the images leaked.

"Those shots went everywhere and I was naked! We're talking naked, naked. Butt, boobs, everything. And I was not looking my best. My face is full because of all the hormones I'm pumped with. And to see every day that I'm getting crap for gaining weight or for having cheek fillers or for looking Botoxed because my face has just been expanded so much by these constant hormones..."

It was a raw, and incredibly real moment for the two working women, who opened up about the difficulties of trying to get pregnant while maintaining their high-profile careers.

"You're putting needles in your tummy every day and have to come to work and smile when you feel like you want to throw up and lay down," Tyra said through intermittent tears.

Tyra, who recently welcomed a baby boy through a surrogate, and Teigen, who is due in April, commiserated over the barrage of questions they received about when they would have children while they were struggling to conceive. Though it can be a common question even from well-wishers, Teigen said it was a painful experience and encouraged everyone to stop asking.

This is the Happiest Valentine's Day of my life. York, Daddy @erikasla and I send you so much love.

"One day you are going to ask that to the wrong girl who is really struggling and it's going to be really hurtful to them. And I really hate it."

Looking at the stunning photo spread, of course, it is impossible to tell what was happening behind the scenes. Point well made, Chrissy.
