'She doesn't have the range' is your new favorite meme

Sorry, readers. Your favorite singer? She doesn't have the range.

At least, according to one incredibly funny Twitter user, who created a new viral trend and annihilated half of pop music in the process.

To decode the saying, that amazing performer you think you can sing...can't actually sing.

As NYMag points out, "she doesn't have the range" originates from the UK sketch comedy show Little Britain.

In a (very British) segment parodying the singers Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones, an interviewer names pop singers for Bassey, she dismisses them all with, "She doesn't have the range!" and a perfect phrase was born.

"She doesn't have the range" made the rounds online after the sketch, but came to life on Twitter this week thanks to @KingBeyonceStan, who eviscerated all your faves one by one in this genius thread.

The targets included Rihanna:

Lana Del Rey:

J-Lo:

Nick Jonas:

And even Adele:

*heart crumbles*

Before clarifying who, in fact, does have the range.

Read the entire thread first, and then enjoy some of the spinoffs that have since emerged.
