Sip and savor at Hershey Wine & Food Fest
A five-course dinner. Mimosas at breakfast. Dozens of domestic and international wines.
It's time to treat yourself at The Hotel Hershey Wine & Food Festival Sept. 11 to 13. Meet chefs and vintners and enjoy jazz and comedy along with fine food and wine at the landmark hotel.
In addition, the Spa at The Hotel Hershey is offering special treatments Sept. 1 through Oct. 31 to celebrate the sixth annual Wine & Food Festival.
The festival includes these events:
Wine, Dine and Punch Lines: 7-10 p.m., Sept. 11. Kick off the weekend with a reception hosted by Italo Jofre from Concha y Toro featuring wine selections and a Chilean themed dinner menu. Then enjoy dessert and a show with "Something To Wine About," featuring comedian Laurie Forster, the Stand Up Sommelier. Tickets are $96.
Vine to Wine at Waltz Vineyards Estate Winery: 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sept. 12. Tour Waltz Vineyards in Manheim and get a walk-through of the winemaking process with owners Jan and Kimberly Waltz. A wine tasting will be accompanied by local cheeses, crackers and chocolates. Transportation to and from the hotel and a boxed lunch are included. Tickets are $54.
Trinchero Bordeaux Blending Class: 2-4 p.m. Sept. 12. A demonstration of the process and art of blending Bordeaux red wine. Guests are invited to blend their own with four of the classic varietal components: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Tickets are $48 per person.
Pio Cesare Wine Dinner: 6-10 p.m. Sept. 12. Hosted by Italian winemaker Cesare Benvenuto from Pio Cesare Wines, mingle with fellow wine enthusiasts at a reception followed by a five-course dinner paired with four to five wines. Tickets are $120 per person.
VIP Winemaker Breakfast: 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Sept. 13. A breakfast buffet and mimosa bar will be hosted by several Wine Festival winemakers. Tickets are $30.
Grand Tasting: 12-4 p.m. Sept. 13. More than 80 international and domestic wines, a selection of local breweries, food samplings from Hershey Entertainment & Resorts' award-winning chefs and live jazz. Guests may stroll and the grounds of the hotel's Formal Gardens and Harvest Plaza. Tickets are $65 per person; $20 for designated drivers.
