CrabFeast

Bring the family and come enjoy all-you-can-eat crab! On Aug. 22 from 5-7:30 p.m., downtown Chambersburg is hosting its 20th annual CrabFeast fundraiser, with the money benefiting downtown revitalization. Tickets, which are $39 for adults and $13 for ages 12 and younger, include barbeque chicken and fixin's, prepared by Main Street Deli, and all-you-can-eat hardshell crabs by Woodpoint Grille. The event will be held at Hume McNeal Byers Post. For more information, contact Noel Purdy at 717-264-7101, Ext. 207, or npurdy@chambersburg.org.

Augustoberfest

Pretzels, frothy beer steins and alphorns all come together in a festival that celebrates Hagertown's German heritage. This two-day family affair features everything from great food to a Kinderwunderland for the wee ones, and the live music includes those alphorns — which reach to the ground. The event will take place from Aug. 22-23 in the Central Lot at 14 N. Potomac St. in Hagerstown. For a list of full events and admission prices, click here.
