Adams Co. Irish Festival needs volunteers

Volunteers are still needed for the 16th Annual Adams County Irish Festival, which will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 16 at the McSherrystown Moose Park of Gettysburg in Straban Township about three miles east of Gettysburg.

The festival is a family-friendly event featuring Irish music all day long, plus Irish gift and food vendors, living history displays and much more. The festival benefits local hunger-relief charities.

The festival committee needs volunteers to assist with tasks like collecting admission, parking, directing visitors, site preparation, post-event clean-up, stage crew work and other duties throughout the day. Volunteers are asked to work a minimum two-hour shift and will receive free admission to the festival for the entire day. In appreciation of their service, a pizza party for volunteers will be held immediately after the post-festival clean-up.

Volunteers should be at least 16 years old. For more information or to sign up, visit the festival website at www.adamscountyirishfestival.org.
