Hanover performance to benefit Codorus State Park

Hanover Little Theater will donate $2 for every ticket sold for their July 9 show, "Weekend Comedy," to Friends of Codorus State Park, according to a news release.

An anonymous person will match the donations made from the ticket sales, doubling the benefit to the park.

The Friends group works to restore, preserve and improve the park and its surrounding area, the news release states.

The theater will also be accepting donations for the park at other performances of the show.

Hanover Little Theater started raising funds for local nonprofit community partners in 2014, the news release states.

"Weekend Comedy" takes place in a small cottage in the woods that two couples accidentally rent for the same weekend. In the end, the two couples learn lessons about their relationships due to the friction that arises, according to the news release.

Performances will be 8 p.m. July 8, 9, 14 and 16; and 2 p.m. July 10 and 17.
