Start your engines. Gettysburg Bike Week is on the horizon.

The annual event kicks off Thursday at the Allstar Events Complex in Gettysburg.

The four-day gathering of bikers from across the country will feature non-stop live music, biker games and more.

Here are the coolest events you’ll want to check out:

Kick-off party

Before the weekend gets underway, a party will take palce Wednesday at the historic Dobbin House Tavern. The bar will include food, live music, games and special guests, like the Gin Gypsies bar team, a traveling staff that specializes in motorcycle rallies.

“We are reliable, trained and bar profit-oriented,” according to the Gin Gypsies Facebook page. “Oh, and hot. That is a huge plus when selling beverages.”

In addition, Rocky 98.5 will be broadcasting live from the party.

Live bands

The music at Gettysburg Bike Week won’t leave you disappointed.

Kicking off the festivities Thursday evening is metal band Quiet Riot. The Marshall Tucker Band and Great Train Robbery will be taking the stage on Friday. And on Saturday, Mustang Sally, described by the Gettysburg Bike Week website as “when Sex and the City meets Honky Tonk U.S.A.” will be performing, as well as KIX.

Other performers include AC/DC tribute band Big Jack, Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath tribute band Blizzard of Ozzy, Marshall’s Highway, Hot Like Molly, Ginger Roxx and Joyride.

Bike Show

If you’re attending Gettysburg Bike Week, you’re going to want to see some sweet rides.

Sponsored by Cycle Source, the event will award prizes and trophies to motorcycles in 15 categories. Some include chopper, Asian import, European import, antique and best paint.

The winner of "Best in show" will be featured in Cycle Source magazine. Two winning bikes from last year made full-page layouts.

Scenic ride

Cycle Source also plans to host a "scenic ride through historic Gettysburg Battlefields" Saturday. Registration for the ride starts at 11 a.m. Riders will receive a free collector poster and a free picnic lunch following the ride, according to the Gettysburg Bike Week website.

Contests

Got a cool tattoo? Or do you like girls in bikinis? Gettysburg Bike Week has contests right up your alley. From wet T-shirt contests, for men and women, to a bike burnout competition, the weekend will feature fun games for everyone. Many of the contests will take place on Saturday.
