Hanover to host Penny Carnival

Children and families will once again descend on the Elm Avenue playground in Hanover Borough for the annual Penny Carnival.

Hanover's Penny Carnival will take place Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Other Hanover playgrounds will be closed Thursday evening while the carnival takes place.

The event will feature games and prizes, along with light refreshments and snacks, Hanover Recreation Director Kyla Swope said Tuesday.

The Kona Ice truck will also be parked near the carnival later in the evening.

The cost to play games will be 25 cents for one ticket or $1 for five tickets, Swope said.
