The centerpiece of York's Global Cardboard Challenge event was unveiled Sunday at the Agricultural & Industrial Museum during History on the Half Shell (formally known as the Oyster Fest).

The circular sculpture centerpiece is part of an exhibit, "We Can Build This City," led by York artist David Lynch and sponsored by the Cultural Alliance of York.

Details of York city's 275-year history can be found on the multilayered sculpture combined with the present

Over the summer, 6-foot outlines of rowhomes were created by children, working with Lynch, during Yorkfest. The rowhomes surround the centerpiece.

The corrugated cardboard was donated by York Container.
