PA Theatrical Arts moves shows to Eichelberger

When students at Pennsylvania Theatrical Arts by Brittany Stevens put on a production this year, they'll experience a different atmosphere.

Performances will now be held at Eichelberger Performing Arts Center, Stevens said. The move fell into place in early January, giving young actors and actresses the opportunity to perform in a professional theater.

"We're excited about this," she said. "It means there's dressing rooms and we can fly things in (on stage)."

The goal of Pennsylvania Theatrical Arts is to provide students with dance, voice and musical theater experience.

Previously, their productions took place at Littlestown High School, Stevens said.

The performing arts center partners with Main Street Hanover to put on its shows. Main Street Hanover Manager Justine Trucksess said she is looking forward to working with the theatrical team this year.

"It's nice to support local business and to be able to promote her shows to our followers," she said.

Stevens hopes Eichelberger Performing Arts Center can be a permanent home for her shows, she said.

"Everyone's excited, and we're hoping to make it a long-term relationship," said Stevens. "It holds good benefits for the students, and they should be proud that they get to perform on a professional stage."

The group's first performance at the new location is Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" on April 16.
