Halloween is almost here. And, in addition to candy, costumes and pumpkins, that also means parades!
York County and surrounding areas feature a number of parades. We've compiled a list of when and where for easy consumption by readers.
Below, we've also pieced together some other events related to Halloween.

Halloween Dance: 6:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m., Oct. 27, Rescue Fire Co. No. 1 of Dallastown. Features "Cheap Sneakers," cold buffet and refreshments, costume contest. Tickets $25 per person.
Halloween Egg Hunt: 5:30 p.m., Oct. 28, Freysville Park, Windsor Township, includes costume contest, egg hunt, prizes. Pre-registration required.
Halloween in the Park: Oct. 19-20, at Codorus State Park Camp Ground Area. Hayrides 6-10 p.m., trick or treat 6-8:30 p.m., Pet Parade Oct. 20 at 11 a.m., 5K run Oct. 20 at 9 a.m.
Halloween Mayhem: 5-11 p.m., Oct. 27, at Porters Fire Company, Spring Grove. Includes music, food, drink, costume competition, games of chance, plus a 21+ costume dance party. Tickets on sale through Porters Fire Co.
Hanover Spooky Sprint: 6:15 p.m., Oct. 25 (before annual parade), 1-mile race in your best costumes. Starting line is West Hanover Street Playground, finishing at Guthrie Memorial Library.
October Fun Night: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 24, Susquehannock High School. Fun, games, costumes, candy.
Rock & Boo Bowl Party: 8 p.m.-midnight, Oct. 26, Trindle Bowl Family Fun Center, 4695 E. Trindle Rd., Mechanicsburg.
Trick or Treat Trivia: 7-9 p.m., Oct. 24, Red Lion Fire Co. $20 per person paid in advance, includes light dinner and refreshments. Prizes awarded. BYOB.
Wellsville Borough Fall Festival: 6-8 p.m. Oct. 26, 6 a.m.-1 p.m., Oct. 27, Wellsville Fire Company. Pumpkin decorating, costume contests, pancake breakfasts, candy scramble and more.
