Marshall Tucker Band to headline Bike Week

Southern rock powerhouse The Marshall Tucker Band will headline Gettysburg Bike Week this year, bringing their signature blend of rock, country, jazz, gospel and blues to the Allstar Events Complex.

Scheduled for for July 7-10, the 15th annual motorcycle rally will welcome the 1970s group, often recognized for songs like "Can't You See" and "Heard It in a Love Song," to the S.S. Vape stage at 8 p.m. Friday, July 8.

"We're thrilled to have one of the true Southern rock and country greats for Gettysburg Bike Week 2016," event coordinator Kelly Shue said in a news release.

Additional bands will be announced at a later date. The rally will include the bike festival favorites, such as bike shows, bike games, bike build-offs and wet T-shirt and bikini contests.

Four-day passes for the rally are $35 per person online and at the event. Two-day passes are $25 per person, and one-day passes are $15 per person.

The Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Center, next to the complex, is the official lodging sponsor for the event.
