Ballroom dancing: put some spring in your step

SHIPPENSBURG - The H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center at Shippensburg University is offering ballroom dance lessons on six Monday evenings beginning March 14 and continuing March 21 and 28 and April 4, 18 and 25.

Lessons and dancing will take place on stage in the Grove Theatre, inside the Luhrs Center, and will be taught by seasoned dance instructor Frank Hancock.

Two different classes are offered, based on experience level:

- Beginner, 5:30-6:30 p.m., will cover swing, foxtrot, cha-cha and tango

- Advanced, 6:30- 7:30 p.m. , will include the waltz, mambo, two-step, rumba and advanced swing.

Both singles and couples are welcome to register. The cost is $35 per person for the entire six-session course.
