Red Land Little League movie gets $10,000 donation

The Red Land Little League movie has moved a step closer to its fundraising goal, thanks to a contribution from another area baseball team.

The Harrisburg Senators have contributed $10,000 to the “Against The Odds” film and documentary project, which will give Red Land baseball fans a behind-the-scenes look at the team’s journey to the Little League World Series U.S. championship game, according to a news release.

The Senators will also contribute 50 percent of net ticket proceeds from their “Pay What You Want Night” game against the Hartford Yard Goats April 26, the release said. Fans can pay what they want in $1 increments at the box office the night of the game.

The Pinnacle Health CARES suite level, Sutliff Dugout Suites and club seats are not included in the promotion.

As of Friday afternoon, the movie’s Indiegogo campaign had raised $12,710. The goal is to reach $500,000, filmmakers Jameson Hesse and A.J. Ferrara said.

Everyone who contributes will receive a perk package, and high-level sponsors will receive product placement, stadium banners, speaking roles in the film and visits to the set.
