Chambersburg Ballet Theatre stages 'Cinderella'


CHAMBERSURG - Join the Chambersburg Ballet Theatre as they perform the fairytale classic “Cinderella” on stage at the historic Capitol Theatre, 159 S. Main St., Chambersburg, on Saturday, June 11, with shows at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Featuring 53 CBT company dancers and students from the CBT School, the cast will be accompanied by guest artists Kristin D'Addario and Peter Doll of Atlanta and Etienne Hernandez of Boston.

The title role of “Cinderella” will be danced by Rachel Miller, a senior at Fannett-Metal High School. Her antagonists, the two stepsisters, will be portrayed by veteran CBT character dancer Evan Sutton and Scott Cairns, well known to Chambersburg audiences as an actor with the Chambersburg Community Theatre.

This original “Cinderella” production includes music by Sergei Prokofiev and choreography and costume design by CBT's founding artistic director, Lavinia Reid.
