Pianist Thomas Pandolfi returns to Hagerstown


HAGERSTOWN, MD. - American Pianist Thomas Pandolfi is back by popular demand for the annual Edmunds Music Trust recital in the Bowman Concert Gallery of the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, 401 Museum Drive, Hagerstown, Md., at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, followed by a reception in the Kaylor Atrium.

This is the seventh year of Pandolfi’s piano performance at the museum. The concert is co-sponsored by the Etchison Family.

The program will include works from Mozart, Enrique Granados and a “James Bond Fantasy.”

Thomas Pandolfi is an exciting virtuoso who is becoming more and more sought after by audiences. A graduate of the Julliard School, Pandolfi earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees as a scholarship student. Pandolfi has been showered with superlatives by critics for his artistry and technique in performing the works of Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, and Liszt.  In the “Pops” genre, Pandolfi is considered a leading interpreter of the works of George Gershwin.

He has performed with orchestras in New York City; Asheville, North Carolina; Princeton, New Jersey; and with the Maryland Symphony, The National Philharmonic, and the Amadeus Orchestra.
