Jeff Koons art...on your phone?

We can all agree that phones are technological wonders, but are they art?

Wildly successful and controversial modern artist and York native Jeff Koons is seeking to answer that question directly.

Koons, who is known for his giant balloon-shaped art, has partnered with Google in creating "live" cases for the company's Lexus phones, according to a story from PhoneArena.com.

The new line of Nexus Live Cases contains three designs, each of which are available for the Nexus 5X and 6P. The designs feature images of Koons' "Gazing Ball" sculpture.

The cases are being offered as a limited edition and options start at $40.
