Waynesboro Chats explore diverse topics through December


WAYNESBORO >> The topic of the July 11 Waynesboro Chat is "Civil War: the Monterey Pass Battle."

The Chat is a free monthly discussion program of Waynesboro Historical Society. It takes place at 10 a.m. each second Saturday in the historical society's Oller House, 138 W. Main St.

Moderators will be John A. Miller, Washington Township historian, and Alicia Miller, chair of the Friends of the Monterey Pass Battlefield.

Attendees are invited to take pictures, cards, item, or stories of the Civil War, or even attend in Civil War era dress for photo opportunities.

Topics and events through December are:

August: "Waynesboro Craftsmen, and "Summer Soirée"

September: "Facebook: You're really from Waynesboro ..."

October: "Waynesboro Works"

November: Program pending

December: "Past Waynesboro Christmases," with guest "elves"
