Uprise music festival to include Switchfoot, Relient K

Uprise Christian music festival has some heavy contemporary hitters coming to September's event.

Among them are: Switchfoot, Casting Crowns, Skillet, Jeremy Camp, Relient K, For King and Country, I am They, Good Little Giants and many more.

For 11 years, Christian music, seminars, activities for children and youth and other activities have been attracting a growing number of people to the annual Uprise Christian music festival at Shippensburg Fairgrounds, 10131 Possum Hollow Road.

This year's festival is Sept. 18 and 19.

Uprise was organized by producer Scott Brown, under the name Extreme Day. As it evolved, it was also advertised as Vertical Festival.

There will also be a resource area for youth pastors to convene.
