Franklin County is in the holiday spirit! This weekend choose between taking the children to have breakfast with Santa, catching a holiday show and much more!

Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas Celebration

Bring the family out for the 10th annual Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas Celebration this Saturday from 4-7 p.m.! Sing songs, enjoy a sleigh ride and eat some s'mores at the Blue Ridge Summit Plaza. Christmas Around the World

Learn more about Christmas around the world with Franklin County Historical Society's Christmas displays from other nations. The event will be held from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. this Saturday and from 1-4 p.m. this Sunday at the Old Jail, 157 E. King St. The cost is $4 to attend. For more information, call 717-264-1667.

The Nutcracker

A holiday favorite is coming to the Capitol Theatre this Saturday and Sunday! The show, which will be performed by the Chambersburg Ballet Theatre School, will be held at 3 p.m. both days. Tickets and more information are available by clicking here.

Breakfast with Santa

Bring the kids out to have breakfast with Santa - a treat they are sure to enjoy this holiday season! Children can see Santa from 8-10 a.m. this Saturday at the Pleasant Hall Volunteer Fire Company, 9722 Cumberland Highway. The event is $4 for adults and kids 12 and under free. Christmas at the Pass

Take a trip back in time with Waynesboro's Christmas at the Pass. This Saturday from 12-4 p.m., come out to Monterey Pass Battlefield Park and Museum for children’s crafts, Christmas storytelling, Victorian Christmas and Civil War soldiers. Choir Cantata

Chambersburg will hosts several different choir cantatas this Sunday for everyone interested in enjoying some holiday music! For a complete list of events, see below.

  • “Tapestry of Light: A Celtic Christmas Celebration” - 10:45 a.m., First United Methodist Church, 225 S. 2nd St.
  • Choir cantata - 10:15 a.m. and 7 p.m., Solomon’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4856 Wayne Road
  • “A Noel Christmas” - 10:45 a.m., First Lutheran Church, 43 W. Washington St.

Christmas Caroling

A holiday tradition is coming to Waynesboro this Sunday! Meet at the Christmas tree in the Waynesboro square to go Christmas Caroling on Main Street with others in the community. Song sheets, hot chocolate and cookies will be provided. The event will be held from 2-3 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
