Gettysburg Rocks is coming Feb. 5

On the weekend of Feb. 5, Gettysburg Rocks kicks off, a news release said.

The two-day music festival kicks off on Friday, Feb. 5 with 60 bands performing at ten venues in the Gettysburg area. On Saturday, Feb. 6, over 110 bands will perform at 12 views in the area.

The performing bands will comprise multiple genres of music, including folk, rock, country, blues, Americana, ska, punk, metal, pop, classic rock and more. The festival benefits the Four Diamonds Fund, in the care of Penn State Mont Alto’s THON organization, which helps provide support for children and their families fighting pediatric cancer.

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted and are encouraged. Age restrictions will be in place at some venues. A full list of shows, including bands, venues and schedules is available at www.gburgrocks.com.

The Gettysburg Rocks music festival was formed in 2014, and takes place in February and August each year. The event has raised over $45,000 for the Four Diamonds Fund and has booked over 600 bands.
