5 things to do in Hanover-Adams this weekend

This weekend has a lot of great events to offer. Here are five to add to your calendar:

Come downtown Saturday, stroll around and enjoy samples of food, beer and wine at Main Street Hanover's Oktoberfest event. Local businesses, such as Abithat's, Merlin's Coffee, Divino Pizzeria & Grille and Aldus Brewing Company, have joined forces to offer deals and samples from 2-7 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, and $5 for a designated driver. Must be 21 or older to participate.

Big money bingo

Try your luck at hitting it big and support a great cause in the process. Southeastern Adams Volunteer Emergency Services, 5865 Hanover Road, hosts "Big Money Bingo" the second Sunday of each month. Doors open at 10 a.m. Sunday, and bingo starts at 1 p.m. Lunch is available for purchase from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

More information can be found here.

First Friday, Gettysburg style

The theme of this month's First Friday is "Inspired by Gettysburg."  Businesses throughout downtown Gettysburg will stay open later and will host special receptions, guest artists and authors and sales, according to Destination Gettysburg. The event runs from 4-8 p.m.
