Lynyrd Skynyrd, Frampton to perform in Lancaster


Southern rock pioneers Lynyrd Skynyrd and British superstar Peter Frampton will perform together at 6 p.m. June 8 at Clipper Magazine Stadium.

The concert is presented by American Music Theater at its first-ever event in downtown Lancaster.

With a catalog of more than 60 albums and sales beyond 30 million worldwide, Lynyrd Skynyrd remains a cultural icon appealing to multiple generations. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

Peter Frampton remains one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. His session work includes collaborations with such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr and John Entwistle.

The concert will be rain or shine. The Lancaster Barnstormers’ Clipper Magazine Stadium is located at 650 N. Prince St., Lancaster.
