Happy Friday! Here are five great ways to stay cool and enjoy summer in York County this weekend.

First Friday:

First Friday in York is a chance to cool off. Bring the kids to Royal Square for a Splash Zone next to DiDi & Smiling John's Barber Shop. Run a 5K:

The Providence Community Church in Spring Grove will host its third annual Water Run on Saturday to help a Spring Grove family pay for their daughter's medical expenses. The run starts at the Spring Grove Area High School at 8 a.m. Click here for details.

Family festivals:

Three festivals full of family fun are happening in York County this weekend. First, Craley Days - which features music, cars, animals and more - opens at 4 p.m. Friday and runs through 10 p.m. Saturdayat Water's Edge United Methodist Church in Craley. Then, head to Summer Fest for a peachy festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Flinchbaugh's Orchard and Farm Market in Hellam Township. The Red Lion Street Fair will also take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the streets off the Red Lion square. Click here for details.

The First Post:

The First Post, a new restaurant in Springettsbury Township, is now open for business. The restaurant, which was formerly the Road House restaurant, opened earlier this week.
