6 things to do in York this weekend

Fall is officially here, and York County has plenty of events to help you celebrate.

Whether you enjoy street parties, parades, motorcycles or beer, there's an event for you this weekend.

Here are six things happening in York.

Bike Night

As many as 1,500 motorcycles will ride into town Friday night for the 21st annual York City Bike Night. This motorcycle-themed street party has something for everyone, even those who aren't hardcore riders. It kicks off at 6 p.m. with a motorcycle and trike parade, which steps off from the York Expo Center and travels to Continental Square in downtown York. After the parade, you'll find dozens of trikes on display, live music, food vendors and more. Details here .

White Rose Thunder

Looking for more motorcycle fun? Then, White Rose Thunder at the York Expo Center is the place to be Saturday. Spectators will see close to 170 flat track racers compete for up to $11,500 in prize money. Plus, don't miss the race held specifically for antique motorcycles built between 1910 and 1924. 'Aladdin Jr.'

Expect to hear favorite Disney tunes - including "Friend Like Me," "Prince Ali" and "Whole New World" - when York Little Theatre opens its new season with "Aladdin Jr" this weekend. Colorful costumes, full-size camel and elephant props and the floating magic carpet will fill the stage as the cast performs plenty of singing and technical dance numbers. Creek Fire

Saturday is your last chance this season to check out the live music, floating fire pits and illuminated art boat parade along the Codorus Creek. Creek Fire will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. at Foundry Park, located at the 200 block of West Philadelphia Street. Details here .

Bailee's Homebrew reopening party

Taste beer and wine samples from local businesses - including Aldus Brewing Co., Black Cap Brewing Co., Center Square Brewing, Gift Horse Brewing Co. and South County Brewing Co - at Bailee's Homebrew & Wine Supplies grand reopening Saturday. The event will also include live music and giveaways from 11 am. to 4 p.m. Details here .


Celebrate the first weekend of fall at an Oktoberfest event in York. Gunpowder Falls Brewing will launch its Marzen beer and offer traditional German food, games and music from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Also on Saturday is the National Watch and Clock Museum's Clocktoberfest, featuring live music, children's activities, museum tours, food trucks and beer. Details here .
