4 indoor events to check out in York this weekend

Looks like we're in for a rainy weekend. Thanks, Joaquin.

But that's no reason to stay on the couch all weekend.

Here are four indoor events worth checking out in York County.

First Friday

Halloween might still be a month away, but downtown York is ready to celebrate. Dress in a costume and head downtown for costume contests, trick-or-treating, horror films, Halloween-themed food and drinks and more Friday evening. The hayrides and outdoor activities have been cancelled due to weather, but there's still plenty of indoor Halloween fun to keep you busy. Details here.

Fall Harvest and Music Festival

Twelve hours of non-stop live music, wine tastings, pumpkin decorating, grape stomping, face painting and more - Naylor Wine Cellars and MyRuralRadio.com's Fall Harvest and Music Festival will have it all. Due to predicted rain, the festival has been moved inside Naylor Wine Cellars. All of the festivities, except for the fireworks, will still happen as scheduled, according to a video on the winery's YouTube channel. Fireworks may go off if weather permits. Details here.

Annual Women's Show

Enjoy a girlfriend's day out from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Hall at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Ave., York. The event will include shopping, exhibits, health and fitness demonstrations, prizes and more. Admission is $4 or free with a Weis Markets Preferred Shopper's Club Card. Details here.

Farm to City Dinner

Tickets are now sold out for this annual dinner, but here's what you need to know if you're one of the 200 people with a ticket. The event is a three-course dinner, featuring local ingredients and served in the center of North Beaver Street in downtown York at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The rain location is inside Central Market.
