FlipSidePA Panel event picks for this weekend

Each week, some York County locals share what they are doing this weekend. Some favor art, theater, craft beer, wine or music. Some simply like finding something different to do each week. Whatever your interest, see what they're up to this week in October - it might help you plan your Friday or Saturday night.

Want to join the panel? Email FlipSidePA Editor Ashley May at amay@ydr.com.

Susan Scofield (loves art and reptiles): The big event I'm excited about is the Decked Out Skate Deck Auction and Art Show at The Bond to benefit Reid Menzer Skate Park! There will be artist-transformed skateboard decks, food trucks, cocktails, live music and a car smash!

Raquel Lilly (always on the move): Myself and my husband will be participating in the Baltimore Running Festival hoping to break our personal goal.

Mike and Sue Edmonds (will travel for fun): We plan to attend the 100th Farmer's Fair in Dillsburg this weekend.

Mary Yeaple (parade lady): This Sunday, I am heading to the 41st Annual Oyster Festival at the Agricultural & Industrial Museum. First stop will be the delicious Apple Fritters. Yum!

(Also going to the Oyster Festival - Jeff Gochoco and FlipSidePA Editor Ashley May)

Rita King (usually found in Royal Square): On Saturday I'll be at Carol Oldenburgs artist talk at the Pennsylvania Arts Experience at 11 a.m. Then, to the Rudy Art Stained Glass walking tour that starts at noon, right up the street. I'm seeing the Bouncing Souls at the Chameleon Club Saturday night. If there is time on Sunday, I'll go to Sweet Melissa's for her T-shirt vest making/Hocus Pocus party from 12-3 p.m.

Mel Conrad (caricature artist): I'm going to Frank Theatres with some friends on Friday to see the horror movie, "Crimson Peak!"

Meagan Feeser (usually downtown): I'll be doing the York County Heritage Rail Trail's Pumpkin Walk this Saturday evening. A half-mile walk on the trail, lit only by jack o'lanterns. Perfect fall fun!
